Statement from Minister Mendicino regarding Major League Baseball in Canada during COVID-19
A number of temporary policy changes intended to support international students, learning institutions and other stakeholders in Canada’s education sector have been implemented since March 2020.
International students make immense cultural and social contributions to Canada, and generate more than $21 billion in economic activity. Since the onset of the pandemic, the Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, has made a number of temporary policy changes to support and reassure international students and learning institutions.
Canadian families are as diverse as Canadians themselves, and everyone deserves the same rights and opportunities, no matter who they love or how they identify.
