Evaluation of the Global Assistance for Irregular Migrants Program
This evaluation examines the relevance of the Global Assistance for Irregular Migrants (GAIM) program and performance relative to the intended program outcomes since its launch at Citizenship and Immigration Canada in April 2013 as a component of Canada’s Migrant Smuggling Prevention Strategy. The evaluation also covered earlier program phases dating from January 2012 when first established by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) to respond to a large group of Sri Lankan migrants bound for Canada who were intercepted in Togo.
Evaluation of the Immigration Loan Program
This evaluation examined the Immigration Loan Program within the context of three main activities of loan issuance, repayment and program management, and also the loans’ impact on settlement of recipients.
